The Canon iP100 is a lightweight, high quality, portable inkjet photo printer. It has a slender, sleek look and is perfect for business associates and students who need a printer on the go. It is compact but still produces up to 20 pages per minute using black Canon iP100 ink and up to 14 pages per minute with color printer ink. A 4"x6" color photo takes only 50 seconds, even with a resolution as high as 9600x2400dpi which is twice as high as the previous model, the iP90v.

The Canon Pixma iP100 weighs only 4 pounds. It is comparable to the size of a laptop, with the dimensions of 12.7"x2.4"x7.2". Even though it does not have a built in card reader or Wi-Fi adapter, it does USB ports for direct connection with cameras, phones and a Bluetooth option for other wireless printing needs. The nozzles eject thousands of droplets of Canon iP100 ink per inch of paper. There are 3 printer ink tanks: 1 has cyan, magenta and yellow, the other 2 are black. The pigment based black Pixma iP100 ink is for clear and crisp text. The dye based black is for photos. Each replacement Canon iP100 ink cartridge is around $15-$20 and has a page yield of approximately 250.

The Canon Pixma iP100 is one of the finest mobile inkjet printers on the market with reasonably priced Canon ink cartridges. It is smaller, faster and better in quality than its closest competition, the HP OfficeJet H470. The iP100 is priced right around $250, with an optional added expense for a car charger and a rechargeable battery.
