As printer technology has advanced, office machines for small business and home users have become more sophisticated. The Canon i320 ink technology produces very good prints and sharp text documents. This is a lesser unit built on the same frame as the i250 and i350. It has good speeds of 10 pages per minute for black and 7 for color. An important feature is the ability to print 4" x 6" borderless photos with a special 25-year printer ink formula on glossy paper.

Lightweight design and a low price define the Canon i320. The Canon i320 ink cartridges produce resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 dpi. This resolution is achieved because of the "microfine" droplet technology. A small 15.2" x 7.7" x 6.5" and lightweight 3.75 pounds, makes it a convenient size for most applications. The media styles available are varied enough to produce a wide array of projects.

The Canon i320 employs inkjet cartridges in black and color that supply the print head. It has easy snap-in loading and printer ink yields of up to 270 pages in black and up to 130 pages in color. Cartridge life of course is dependent on how dense the prints are. A 32 kb buffer is built in to help manage printing. Like most printers in this series, a USB interface links things up. Computers running on Windows and Mac will easily run the applications. The software pack included has easy-to-use print, photo and greeting card disks to make managing uncomplicated.

An independent review by ITReviews.com praised the Canon i320 inkjet unit for the "amazingly low price." They also commented on its flimsy appearance, but said it didn't seem to hinder performance.
