There are a lot of different types of laser copiers on the market these days. There are copiers for large offices, copiers for midlevel offices, copiers for small offices and copiers for homes. The Canon FC336 is one of the latter. Though many copiers nowadays include the ability to scan, print and fax too, this machine only does one function but does it well. It probably won't fit in homes that make a ton of copies every day, but for those that only copy occasionally, the FC336 will be a wonderful addition. The first copy out time is quick at only 15 seconds, but the copy speeds in general using Canon FC336 toner are a little slow at only 6 copies per minute. Don't let that deter from purchasing this unit though—there's a lot more positives than negative when it comes to this copier.
A monochrome machine—meaning it only prints in black-and-white—only one Canon FC336 toner cartridge is needed for copying. This printer toner is very easy to find and replace, and will last buyers about 4,000 pages before replacement toners are needed. Labels, business cards, plain paper, colored paper, cardstock paper, transparencies and post cards are all supported.
Genuine OEM and remanufactured Canon FC336 toner cartridges are both available. The only difference between these toners is the price. Genuine OEM products tend to cost a lot more than remanufactured products, while they both last the same amount of time and produce the same high quality.
With the Canon FC336 toner installed, the machine only weighs about 26 pounds, making it easy for most to move around when necessary. With a size of 14.1x15.6x4.09 inches, not much space is taken up, either. Another cool feature is that after 5 minutes without operation, this Canon will turn itself off in order to save power and energy.
