The Canon Multipass F20 is a multi-purpose inkjet printer. It has been discontinued by Canon but still works well for users who purchased it a few years ago. It prints, scans and copies at a fast output rate and with high resolution. The results are precise and accurate, especially for the age of the unit. Needless to say newer models are better in every way, but at one time the Canon F20 was a pioneer in the printing world. It cost around $250, which is more expensive than competitive units but only costs $7 to replace Canon F20 ink cartridges.
Nearly every size and kind of paper is compatible with the F20, providing dozens of options. It can print up to 14 pages per minute using black Canon F20 ink, and up to 10 pages per minute in color. The Advanced Microfine Droplet Technology enhances color resolution to 2400x1200dpi. This technology allows the print head to release hundreds of 5 picoliter droplets of Multipass F20 ink onto the paper.
This inkjet unit offers double sided printing and scanner with a resolution of 600x1200dpi and up to 36 bit color. Unfortunately it is only compatible with Windows and does not come with a USB cable which is required to connect the F20 with a PC. It is a 4 color printer ink system that contains one cartridge of black Canon F20 ink and a tri-color cartridge with cyan, magenta and yellow tones.
Before being discontinued and replaced with newer and better technology, the Canon Multipass F20 inkjet printer was elite.
