The Canon BJC-600 inkjet printer has very little relevance in the modern printing world. Manufactured in the early 1990s, this unit is light years behind newly renovated models. It is compatible with most major operating systems, including Mac and Windows. However, it lacks most other features that would be beneficial to an office, such as those found in laser printers featuring Dell 310-5730 toner.
Unfortunately, there is not much to know about the BJC-600. It is an outdated and discontinued printer, even though its reliability and durability has turned first-time Canon customers into life-long Canon customers. In fact, Canon is among the leading manufacturers for inkjet printers in the last 20 years. Especially when the technology was new, Canon was right there leading the printing revolution.
There are 4 Canon BJC-600 ink cartridges in this printer?cyan, black, magenta and yellow. Many other units on the market have only one color tank and one black tank, such as HP 98 ink. The tanks of Canon BJC-600 ink have lower-end page yields, meaning consumers will need to replace them more than they probably want to. Nearly 2 decades after the release of this unit, the printer ink for it can still be found online. This Canon BJC-600 ink can reach a maximum resolution of 2400x1200 dpi, which is actually rather impressive for such an old device.
Using the Canon Microfine Droplet Technology, nozzles on the printhead eject the Canon BJC-600 ink onto the page in tiny droplets. The more drops per inch there are, the higher the quality of the image will be. Using only black printer ink, the BJC-600 can print up to 15 pages per minute. In color, it maxes out at about 10 pages per minute. For faster printing, laser printers are a much better route, such as HP Q5952A toner printers.
Though most Canon BJC-600 users have probably moved on to a newer printer, there are still a few relying on this antique. For those that keep holding on, ink cartridges and miscellaneous parts are still readily available for a good price.
