The Brother Corporation was started in 1908 as a sewing company in Nagayo Japan, and it wasn't until 1971 that they started to produce printers and the respective printer cartridge. Brother has implemented a single pass laser printing system in virtually every model they produce and sell. A single pass toner transfer system transfers all of the toner to the document in a single motion as the name implies. This is accomplished using an array of LED's that uses less energy and improves the environmental impact of printing technologies. The LED array also allows the printer to apply toner in a more uniform manner.
