The Brother HL-1440 is a monochrome laser printer designed for the personal user. Its affordable price and excellent print quality give it lots of appeal, but its limited memory may cause some slowdowns for large documents.
The design of the Brother HL-1440 is basic and straightforward, with a generally boxy look to it, but it is not unappealing. The printer measures 9.3 inches by 14.2 inches by 14.6 inches (HWD) and weighs 20.3 pounds with the toner cartridges. This means it is not only easy to move around when necessary, but its small footprint should allow it to fit in small office spaces very nicely.
